The 10 Largest Domestic Cat Breeds

house cat breeds

They have lots of energy, so they’ll need the space to exercise if they’re not outdoors. Yet, others will not enjoy settling down on a human lap and prefer alone time when they are tired. Research and understanding the temperament of different cat breeds will help ensure a harmonious coexistence of all your pets. It’s always recommended to conduct a gradual introduction of the new cat to your existing pets to increase the chances of a peaceful integration. On one end of the spectrum, you have small cat breeds like the Munchkin, known for their petite stature and playful demeanor. On the other end, you’ll find large cat breeds such as the majestic Maine Coon, renowned for their size and regal appearance.

Strange Places That Cats Hide: Olga’s Preferred Spots

Its developer, a Boston-based man, named Paul McSorley, started the program in 1998 and by July 2000, the very first ideal Minskin was born. Unlike many other experimental breeds, this one is recognized by TICA as an actual feline breed. As of 2008, the Minskin is officially recognized as a Preliminary New Breed. The Mexican Hairless cat, also called Aztec, is an extinct feline breed.

Brazilian Shorthair

Lykoi cats differ from the typical Sphynx in terms of physical appearances as Lykoi’s do have some hair on their bodies. Lykois have signature werewolf expressions due to the patched fur on their heads. Regardless of their mischievous and rather menacing looks, these furballs are friendly and affectionate. TICA recognized the Donskoy in 2005, even though the breed has been registered with the World Cat Federation since 1997. Due to the possible genetic health risks of this breed, many registries refuse to acknowledge it. Other names for the Donskoy felines are Don Hairless and Don Sphynx, even though the Donskoy kitty isn’t related to the Sphynx cat.

Burmese Cats

When it comes to humans, however, they are just as affectionate to them as they are deadly to their prey. Saying this, they are pretty independent too, enjoying attention while not wanting it constantly. An ideal cat to have with a young family, there are a lot of positive things to say about Burmese cats. Firstly, they’re incredibly affectionate, especially to close family members and children.

While a large, wild cat—say a tiger—might be unattainable for the average pet owner, there are plenty of large domesticated cat breeds to choose from. Having been bred for centuries, the Russian Blues are a fully developed feline breed recognized by all major cat registries. They have green eyes and distinguishable fur coats, which vary in color from dark slate grey to shimmering silver. Russian Blue kitties have dense undercoats and top coats, which are thick and plush to the touch. In terms of behavioral characteristics, the Russian Blue is a rather tranquil furball, which can be sometimes reserved towards strangers. Nevertheless, they are excellent hunters and are susceptible to training.

Even if a cat didn't make this list, that doesn't mean they won't make a great housecat. The key is to provide your indoor cat with enough exercise and enrichment to keep them both mentally and physically stimulated. That way, they won't turn to undesirable behaviors, like trying to get outside or becoming destructive. Pick a cat breed whose lifestyle aligns with your own, and you're likely to be a perfect match. Not only does the Burmese have a lovable personality, but they're actually the longest-living cat breed. That's right; with an indoor Burmese cat, you can enjoy up to 25 joy-filled years with your friend by your side.

Singapura cats enjoy chasing balls down the hall or tap dancing on keyboards. Although affectionate, Persian cats are discriminative and reserve their attention for family and a few trusted guests. These felines are intelligent, active, and require regular stimulation. Devon Rex cats are jumpers, and their favorite place is at head level, so perches and cat trees should be provided. Of course, there are loads of good reasons why you should rather keep a house cat over a free roamer. It’s important to remember that not all breeds of cats are suited for crib life.

Another, independent foray into cat domestication occurred in China about 5,000 years ago with another wildcat species the leopard cat. Since domestic cats today aren’t related to leopard cats, the harmony doesn’t seem to have lasted. The Ragdoll, named for its tendency to go limp when lifted, is a large, affectionate breed with striking blue eyes and a semi-long coat. Among the many hairless breeds out there is the Ukrainian Levkoy cat, which has little-to-no fur. Unlike other hairless kitties, these have quite distinctive features.

Popular Cat Breeds for Many Types of Households

With proper socialization, Savannahs are usually friendly and loyal cats, although quite independent. They are also characterized by being very active and intelligent. Somewhat uncommon in domestic cats is the fact many love to play in the water. American Bobtails are said to be the result of a crossing between a domestic tabby cat and a wild bobcat. The more likely origins, however, involve feral domestic cats born with bobbed tails.

The curious kitties are mischievous and fond of teaser and puzzle toys to challenge them. Scottish Fold cats, named for their unusual folded ears and striking, yellowish-orange eye colors, these kitties love to be around people. These easy-going cats have great personalities and get along with anyone, which makes them great companions for kitty-friendly road trips.

They can reside within families with children and other pets, including dogs. What’s more, they aren’t repulsed by water, unlike many other domestic feline breeds. In the vast and varied world of feline companions, domestic cat breeds offer a spellbinding array of choices for the discerning pet enthusiast. Nowadays, the Sokoke is considered a natural breed as it was derived without artificial interbreeding from a natural landrace. It’s recognized as being among the designer and exotic domestic cats by major feline registries.

It is also known as a cutaway pocket or a scoop pocket. The slit pocket shows no pocket on the outside and is usually placed vertically on the garment but can also be horizontal. The opening of the pocket is neatened by the fabric of the pocket that hangs on the inside of the garment.

If your design needs to be exactly straight, you can fold the shirt at the edge of the neckline matching up the bottom hem and press again to create another pressed line. For pocket designs, we want to line the bottom of the design up with the bottom of the armpit. Fold the t-shirt at the armpit seam and using the EasyPress, preheat the shirt and give yourself a fold line. When it comes to the back of the shirt I recommend placing your design 3.5 – 4 inches down. You may choose to adjust the placement depending on the shirt and design. For example, this size large t-shirt is only about 10.5″ across 3″ below the neckline. If I cut out my design at 9.5″ wide it will be very close to the darker area and look oversized. Sometimes the pocket may be ‘bagged out’, which means that there would not be any visible top stitching unless done so as a design feature. Pockets are a very common addition to the clothes we wear. They can take the center stage of an outfit or be modestly tucked away in a side seam. Pockets are most useful, attractive and can be just the place for keeping hands warm on a wintry day.

The shirt patch pocket is made extra stylish by shaping the tip of the pocket into a triangle. Denim fabric pockets are stitched with a double needle to add strength and style. While I have broken the types of pockets into 13 different categories, it is worth noting that a lot of designers combine styles to create individual and interesting looks. I have to admit I am not great at eyeballing design placement on t-shirts. I tend to check and double-check the placement to ensure everything is centered. Hey Eve,I also wanted to add that I'm looking for these 4 pockets to be rectangular shaped patch pockets and ideally with an elasticized opening on top.

History of Winged Helmet Missouri Wolverines Youth Football Club in Kansas City Missouri

michigan football helmet design

Crisler's design for the Princeton helmet graced the cover ofSpalding's Official Football Guide for 1938. Michigan wanted to add a little element against the Fighting Irish during the second game of the season in 2013. The Wolverines added some blue flakes on the blue part of the helmet. Back in 2012, Michigan had another alternative jersey made to compete in the Outback Bowl against South Carolina. It’s a symbol of the Wolverines’ long-standing excellence in the sport. It reflects the team’s unshakable confidence, unrelenting determination and incredible legacy.

Junior colleges

O do that, they built two-dimensional mock cross-sections of materials that stood in for the brain and skull in various helmet shells. For decades, many believed the winged helmet was invented by Princeton Coach Fritz Crisler in 1935, who then took the helmets to Michigan in 1938. However, there is more to this history than what was previously thought. Our college colors were chosen at a meeting of the literary department held in the chapel on Saturday, February 12, 1867, when Milton Jackson, ’67, Albert H. Pattengill, ’68, and J. Eugene Jackson, ’69, the committee appointed for the purpose, reported a resolution in favor of “azure-blue and maize”, which was adopted.

That's where Michigan State comes in, as the Spartans were using the winged helmet before Crisler arrived in Ann Arbor. Forest Evashevski, another of the sophomore stars on Crisler's 1938 squad and the only one to start the Michigan State game, models the old style helmet which the Wolverines continued to use during practice. Michigan had worn a helmet of this basic design since the 1920s. Because so many schools wore the same black or brown helmet, a number of teams added distinctive markings. For three games during the 1937 season Michigan's helmet sported white stripes, but the design was abandoned halfway through the season.

Winged Helmet The Complete History (1930 – Present)

The most significant change occurred in 1969 with the arrival of former head coach Bo Schembechler. The man who would become the most revered head coach in Michigan Football history was ultimately responsible for the maize, football-shaped award decals that still appear on the helmets today. Any opposing player can tell you that is one of the scariest sights in college football—so much so some visiting coaches won't even let their players watch. Several Michigan opponents, including Notre Dame and Indiana, have taken to taping the design over their helmets during practice to lessen the shock of seeing the maize and blue helmets come flying out of the tunnel and set up across the line. Fritz Crisler won a national championship in 1947, he changed the game forever with the platoon system in the late 1940s, and he shaped college football by serving on the NCAA rules committee for over two decades before he retired in 1968.

The design has come to symbolize so much power, discipline, excellence that after the Wolverine hockey team adopted it, the swimming and baseball teams did, too. The look seems to help the hockey coaches recruit almost as much as it does the football coaches. Keep in mind, virtually every Michigan hockey recruit sees Michigan's football team on TV before they see the hockey team, and the helmet always makes an impression.

” All these along with the winged helmet, contribute to the rich history and tradition of Michigan football. While the helmet design is striking, it also serves as a symbol of the team’s identity and traditions. It’s not for style; it’s a powerful emblem that represents the team’s greatness. Michigan has a dark blue helmet with a distinctive winged pattern on each side in maize (yellow) color. The proposed change would hopefully eliminate a similar sign-stealing scandal from unfolding, by allowing direct communication from coaches to players through the helmet.

The one addition we'd include is a navy bumper with a gold 'Block M' instead of the current white bumper and maize letter on this concept. Blue football helmet with Maize wings & stripes and Blue facemask. What seemed so foreign at first now seems completely natural. "When I look back at photos of our plain white helmets," Roberts says, "it just doesn't look right. Everybody loves the winged helmets."

The swimming team has worn the familiar image on its racing caps. The men's and women's lacrosse teams are the latest to sport the famous design. Michigan’s winged helmet is unique and doesn’t closely resemble other college football teams’ helmet designs. A new football helmet design aims to blunt some dangerous physics that today’s models ignore.

But the earliest photograph I’ve found of any team wearing the winged helmets is from 1934. Also, the team’s 1933 team portrait (which doesn’t show the helmets) indicates that they had a different uniform in ’33 than in ’34, so they may have had a different helmet as well. Some accounts of the actual design of the new helmet have sometimes suggested Crisler came up with the idea out of whole cloth. In fact, the previous year Crisler had introduced a helmet at Princeton that should look remarkably familiar to Wolverine fans. The winged design simply took advantage of features of a helmet the Spalding sporting goods company first advertised in the 1937 edition the Official Intercollegiate Football Guide. Crisler's 1938 innovation at Michigan was to paint the helmet maize and blue.

Their early prototype could lead to a lightweight and affordable helmet that effectively dissipates the energy from hit after hit on the field. Current helmets can’t do this, and that’s one of the reasons they aren’t very good at preventing brain injury. A shock-absorbing football helmet system being developed at the University of Michigan could blunt some dangerous physics that today’s head protection ignores.

The communication system was allowed in bowl games this season to test out the technology, but was barred from use in the College Football Playoffs. The push to add helmet communications started in late October, after Michigan was accused of having an elaborate sign-stealing system. The news of the Michigan sign-stealing scandal emerged in late October, halfway through the regular season of the Wolverines' national championship run. Lester said there will be variety in the new helmet design so the one worn by the Broncos on Saturday won’t necessarily be the one the team wears all season, but template will remain the same. In the recent past, WMU teams have worn multiple color combinations of the Ghost Bronco decal, including brown and gold, brown and white, black and gold and red, white and blue for Salute to Heroes night.

You might wonder why he used the winged design, but it makes a great deal of sense if you understand the context in which came up with his idea. Whether you’re a football fan or not, if you turn the television on, and see the Wolverines — you know exactly which team they are based on the helmet. Going back to the late 1930’s Michigan has had the winged helmet, and fans find it one of the sharpest-looking helmets in all of football. Michigan football has many other traditions, including the fight song “The Victors” and the banner that reads “Go Blue!

Most of what is spread is NLHE, but multiple PLO tables will run every Friday and Saturday and often at least one PLO most other days. Even with the $300 cap on $1/2, it is common for there to be one to four stacks over $1K (500 BBs). Due to the fact that the tables are 10-handed (downside) and that most players play a loose-passive style (high VPIP), there is a propensity for pots to build really quickly. They don’t take rake out of any pot and instead make their money via monthly and daily memberships and hourly seat fees. Texas Card House is the original legal poker club in Texas (at least, the first one not to be almost immediately shut down by the police). It has stood the test of time (three years) and paved the way for new card houses to follow. Sam Von Kennel, one of the owners, used his experience working with state lobbyists to cook up a recipe for legal poker. Opening in 2015 in south Austin, TCH was a pioneer in the field of membership-based social card clubs. Their south location has since relocated, to an over 5,500 square feet room in northwest Austin.

On our final day of the week-long trip, we caught up with Sanjeev Vora, who purchased Johnny Chan's old poker room in Houston and rebranded it as the 101 Poker Club Richmond. He was straight up with us and admitted he was a little disappointed in the slow growth of his business since he purchased it in December. I'll never forget the day this place opened after moving from Manchaca.

This spacious and modern poker club is run by a knowledgeable staff that is passionate about poker. The Lodge wrapped up its biggest series ever, which attracted huge crowds daily. Livestreams will soon return, and Polk's club is about to add another 30 poker tables. Vora plans to host a $2 million guaranteed series in May, and the new 101 is one of the largest card rooms in the state. He invested heavily in an impressive renovation that makes 101 Richmond among the nicest looking poker clubs in Texas. The poker room business is highly competitive in Texas these days.

Shuffle 214 in Dallas has 31 card tables, enough room to host some major events. We weren't just impressed by the size, but also the solid mix of juicy cash games and tournaments. The room offers dozens of daily cash games from low to high stakes, and just about everything in between, including plenty of pot-limit Omaha games.

For over three years, TCH has been tweaking and refining their model to better the experience. They are guaranteed to have the lowest wait times of all the card rooms and to have the most tables running. Their floor is WSOP-trained and it permeates across their entire staff. Another aspect of Polk's influence on the business is the increase in big tournaments at The Lodge. PokerNews was in attendance live reporting during the May 2022 Lodge Championship Series, which awarded over $4 million in prize money.

Poker Rooms

Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, you'll find a welcoming community and top-notch facilities at TCH. Actually, there are many reasons, most notably because players are treated the right way by dealers and floor managers. On Day 1 of Texas Week, we spotted a hidden gem called the Gin Mill Poker Club in the Houston area. Only one table was running at the time we arrived, but the room might have been the most unique place we found.

What's going on is that creative entrepreneurs have discovered a way around the restrictive TX anti-gambling laws. By providing poker games at clubs using a membership model, rather than levying a traditional rake, they are able to argue that they're not deriving any economic benefit from the gaming tables. As previously mentioned, it's against the law in Texas to take rake out of a pot in poker.

I was one of the original members and always made the drive up north to support the north location, to the demise of the south location. Especially the ones that have held on for years and to Sam and Dylan for starting the Texas poker boom. The $5/5 plays as big, if not bigger, than your normal $10/20 or $10/25 game in Vegas.

We provide complimentary water and coffee, and you can also bring your own food and BYOB. The Dallas poker community greatly benefits from the existence of top-notch rooms such as Texas Card House. Texas Card House Dallas is one of the most aesthetically pleasing poker rooms you'll find anywhere — inside and out.

Even the mixed game enthusiasts have plenty of options at The Lodge. There are 82 card tables available following a 2022 renovation to expand the already massive room. The social club (more on this in a bit) is co-owned by poker superstar Doug Polk and vlogging legends Brad Owen and Andrew Neeme.

Think classic old-school Texas saloon meets modern poker room — that's the Gin Mill, in a nutshell. Poker is popping in Texas, from H-Town to the Big D, and even in the smaller towns like Midland and Odessa. You're never far away from a juicy game — cash or tournament — when traveling through the state. Texas Card House has announced that it will be opening up an additional location in Houston. The downside of all this poker greatness is that sometimes the atmosphere and the vibe are a bit too serious for the casual fan. Research has shown that interactions with animals can positively impact a child’s health. Our House hosts specially trained and certified miniature horses, dogs and bunnies -- bringing smiles and joy to the families and children staying at our House. Fourteen years later, a new 27,780 square foot, 16-room and garage addition was dedicated on April 30, 1994. A unique feature of our House is the long-term housing wing that was designed to meet the special needs of bone-marrow transplant patients. Treatment for these patients requires an extensive hospital stay, anywhere from two to eight months, and the apartment-style wing provides an atmosphere that feels more like home. Because transplant patients are highly susceptible to infections, the units also have individual ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Providing comfort, care and support.

Ten years after opening, the Orange County Ronald McDonald House extended its services to inside the hospital setting by opening a Ronald McDonald Family Room® inside CHOC Children's at Mission in Mission Viejo. The Family Room allows families to rest and recharge while remaining steps from a pediatric or neonatal intensive care unit. A group of caring individuals teamed up to give children with cancer and their siblings an opportunity to “take a break” from their illness to just be “ordinary kids” enjoying the therapeutic benefits of the outdoors. Today, Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times® is situated in the picturesque San Jacinto Mountains near Idyllwild and offers year-round programs for children with cancer and families at no-cost.

This location includes an additional 40 rooms as well as the administrative offices for our Los Angeles, Chapter and Camp Ronald McDonald staff. Visitors and volunteers may park in our Helms Visitors Lot, located directly in front of the building. Residents with a keycard may park in the underground garage, with its entrance off of Lyman Place and just south of the building’s front door. Noah and Melissa neeed a place to stay when their daughter Sadie was rushed to the hospital after a seizure.

Within our walls, we provide our families with more than just housing.

Located steps from Miller Children’s Hospital, the Long Beach Ronald McDonald House provides the families of critically ill children with a safe and supportive place to stay. Research shows that a family's presence in the hospital helps children heal. Staying close by allows parents to better communicate with their child's medical team and improves adherence to complicated treatment plans. These are only some of the reasons that make Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California an important organization.

The Long Beach House joined more than 300 other Ronald McDonald Houses in 58 countries and regions around the world. Locally, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California operates Houses in Bakersfield, Loma Linda, Los Angeles, Orange, and Pasadena. RMHCSC continues to work to help to keep families, communities, and patients close. RMHCSC opened its second House in Orange County, adjacent to CHOC Children's and within proximity of UCI Medical Center, St. Joseph Hospital and other medical centers.

This eight-room Craftsman-style home serves families whose children are receiving treatment at Huntington Hospital and other nearby hospitals and medical centers. Ronald McDonald House Pasadena is a home-away-from-home for families with critically-ill children, keeping them close to one another, their doctors and needed medical care. Since opening in 1989, Ronald McDonald House® Orange County has provided comfort, care and support by keeping families together when their child needs medical care in Southern California hospitals.

Keeping Families Close

We utilize medical translation phone services through our partnership with CyraCom. We understand the importance of a supportive “home away from home” for our families during this difficult time – and this is why we provide more than just a place to sleep. Our organization offers competitive compensation and benefits as well as an outstanding work environment at each of our numerous locations. If you are interested in joining a dedicated team of professionals serving thousands of children and their families, you have come to the right place. After years of careful planning and preparation, the community responded and in less than two years of fundraising through private gifts and grants, $6 million was raised to bring Ronald McDonald House to Long Beach. Our Helms building is located just one-half block from our original building at 1250 Lyman Place.

Summer Camp is Back In-Person

Ronald McDonald Houses located throughout Southern California help families stay close to their child when they need treatment for a serious medical condition. Our Houses provide a home-like setting, close to the region's top hospitals, where families can stay free-of charge for as long as necessary. We provide compassionate emotional support for children, parents and families whether that be in our FSS office, in the playroom or kitchen, walking to the hospital with you or over Zoom. This care and support for families continues after you leave the House, and for those who return. On Valentine's Day, RMHCSC celebrated the opening of the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House.

Families

Family Support Services (FSS) provides emotional support, education and resources to the families and staff of the Ronald McDonald House. Individuals, couples, and entire families are served in the privacy of the FSS offices, around the House, in the kitchen, playroom, on Zoom, or wherever a person feels most comfortable. FSS not only offers support to individual families, but also plans and manages House therapeutic activities such as Fun Clubs, holiday activities, and special events that provide a caring, supportive, and fun environment for all. FSS provides support and training for the staff at the Ronald McDonald House. This helps staff handle their own stress and feelings, which enables them to provide even better customer service to families.

Since opening in 1989, Ronald McDonald House® Orange County has provided comfort, care and support by keeping families together when their child needs medical care in Southern California hospitals.

Thanks to LightZ of Hope, we light up a colorful disco ball at the Front Desk to announce good news. Today, the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House can accommodate 75 families each night and continues to serve as a “home away from home” for hundreds each year. Since its chartering, the House has served more than 30,000 families from all states in the U.S. and more than 45 countries across the world. When Brooke’s daughter Danica was injured, she refused to leave the child’s bedside. RMHC serves millions of children and their families each year, but more need our help.

Research shows that a family's presence in the hospital helps children heal. Staying close by allows parents to better communicate with their child's medical team and improves adherence to complicated treatment plans. These are only some of the reasons that make Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California an important organization.

The Dining Hall/Activity Center increased camps capacity to serve campers by 25% and also allowed year-round programs with two new multi-purpose areas for activities and meetings. The desire for a program that supported the unique needs of families with critically ill children quickly spread to other cities. The Southern California chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) began in 1977 with the planning of the region's first Ronald McDonald House in Los Angeles blocks from Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Volunteer groups and community organizations show their love of families by hosting incredible holiday-focused events throughout the year, including parties, special meals, music and/or field trips. Reflecting the diverse communities we serve, most of our staff and FSS team is bilingual.

Sometimes., only sometimes, all you need is a clean coat of a natural shade to glamour your fingertips. Here is a modern twist to the normal straight tips with somewhat triangular black tips above a white background. When you have nautical art right at your fingertips, that ache in your heart might just lessen a little bit when you can’t pay the sea a visit. After checking this entire list above, you can’t say that having nail art is a styling luxury you can’t master. Accentuate the design with a singular silver gradient nail and another cross lines-designed white one on each hand. Play with positive and negative space using white and silver glitter varnishes. Only a few designs have got the versatility to match a certain celebration or a holiday. Just mentioning the word love, drowns us with a thousand red hearts.

Don’t worry if it doesn’t work at the first trial, with a bit of patience and practice, you’ll get there. Finally, to transform these dots into a real leopard pattern, frame the dots with brown arcs, and you’re good to go. All polished with a dark wine shade and penetrated with a scary drawing of a skull on a singular nail – you’ll like these. So why not combine both with such design having a matte base with accent glossy tips. From red Christmas nails with mini trees and Santa drawings, reaching Independence Day’s patriotic nails.

Add a splash of color with rainbow spirograph string art, a vibrant project that combines geometric beauty with a spectrum of hues. Brighten any room with homemade flower string art, a blooming project that adds a touch of nature’s beauty to your decor. Cool off your summer with an ice cream cone string art with the template, a sweet project that’s as delightful to make as it is to display. Embrace the autumn season by crafting a pumpkin string art, a perfect mix of creativity and seasonal cheer that warms up any space. One of the most beautiful parts of acrylic nails is their length.

Sofia Prices: Is Sofia Expensive or Cheap?

cruise america standard rv

If you’re not coming for winter activities, though, I’d skip a visit during the winter. Bicycle – There are lots of bicycle rental services in Sofia. Sofia Bike Rental and Rent a Bike Sofia are two good options. In the end, we’d say that those who want to quickly rent an RV may want to go for Cruise America since it has an established policy that is designed to ensure hassle-free rentals.

How Easy is It to Rent an RV?

There is no charge for this feature, but you must let the rental center know at the time of pickup so the locking pin can be removed. A traditional motorhome with the self-contained features you expect. Wondering how much it costs to rent an RV and curious about what factors influence RV rental prices? Cruise America is happy to explain it all to you and to get you on the road faster while saving money. When planning an RV road trip, your budget plays a key role. Foremost in your mind is how much to rent an RV you should set aside, but you may not know how much exactly that will be.

Why You Should Go RV Camping for Earth Day 2024

You’ll see rebel flags, military uniforms, and artifacts, including the personal effects of actual soldiers. There’s also a collection of vehicles, including tanks and fighter planes. This is an outdoor adventure activity center located inside Borisova Gradina park. There are all sorts of fun challenges here including rope climbing, rock climbing, mini-golf, and a tree-top obstacle course.

One of the many inhabitants of the forest is here to keep me company. With a pressurized fresh water tank our RV/Marine toilet feels more like home. A large capacity sewage tank allows you to stop less and is easy to use.

Below you'll find a list of commonly asked questions about renting or buying a Cruise America RV. If you can't find the answer to your question here, please feel free to contact us. Hotels in Sofia tend to consider their high season as April through October, with the slowest season being January through March. Prices tend not to change too much most of the year, though some good deals can be found in the upper end of things during the slow months. The city also clears out a bit during July and August, so sometimes you can get good deals at more expensive places during that period.

Large RV Rental (30 feet)

So that you can focus, we recommend that you not bring pets or small children along. There’s also a Renter Assistance Guide that you can download as a PDF in a variety of languages. This guide will also be provided in your RV and it’s handy when you’re trying to figure out how the refrigerator operates. We figured out that driving roughly 250 miles per day was a good target. You may be able to cover more distance per day with a second driver. On our trip, we dumped the black tank (sewage) and grey water tank (sinks and shower) every 2-3 days.

Make a list in advance of everything you think you’ll need or want on your trip. Then go through that list and note the items you could live without. If you leave those extra items at home, you can save both weight and storage space. A tip I learned for staying centered in a lane is to keep scanning the side-view mirrors.

What can I use to tow a Cruise America trailer?

Campground rates vary based on time of year and what facilities they offer. Generally you can expect to pay between $10 and $50 per night.Check out our RV Park Finder page to search for campground costs. We only accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Cards.

Customer interaction is another area where Cruise America is notorious. For Early Birders, which we again mentioned earlier in the material, the return time is between 9 AM and 3 PM. Failure to return the vehicle in this time frame will incur an hourly $25 penalty. For repairs costing under $75, you may have repairs done, but you will need to keep the receipt with you for reimbursement. Rental centers will reimburse receipts under $75 without a service log.

Large LPG, fresh, and black water tanks mean I never have to set foot on a campground with full hookups. Driving out to the wilderness on my own, enjoying warm and comfortable nights after celebrating a home-cooked meal and a hot shower — that’s my 25 feet of freedom. This custom built trailer provides the freedom to setup camp and use your own vehicle to get in and out of town. It has all the amenities of a motorhome, but provides flexibility when you need it.

If you need a change after booking and confirmation (aside from changing party size and adding pre-paid items), the rate will be recalculated using the most current Flex Rate. This Flex Rate will be compared to the Flex Rate that you’ve booked an RV with. The higher rate of the two will be selected as a new Flex Rate.

But if you’re down to choosing the best Cruise America RV, you’ll find your answer right here. However, if you’re seeking some of the best places to camp with your RV, here are some suggestions. The major changes are the effect that high winds and adverse weather will have on your driving.

In addition, they may require you to make a full prepayment in advance for rental events like auto race events, music festivals, or gatherings in remote areas. If you didn’t use up the $500 security deposit, Cruise America will issue a credit to cover the refund.
